My name is Mike Zacharkiewicz, I'm a 19 year old teaching assistant from South Yorkshire. I was advised by the head of the primary school where I work that "it's about time you did a degree." I took heart in the faith he had in my capabilities - having only been employed at the school for roughly 4 months at the time - and decided with a bit of effort the degree would be worth a try.

Having struggled to find work on leaving school I've now found what I believe to be a vocation to which I am both devoted and suited. I've become overwhelmed with paternal instincts and thoroughly enjoy the responsibility I have for the welfare and education of the children I'm in contact with.

Unfortunately I have little experience with blogs and have assumed that there will be someone out there doing the ultraversity degree (cohort 6) who may respond to this and possibly be a welcome mentor and friend throughout the duration of the course. Don't hesitate to contact me.

PS
Forgive me for the lack of pictures on this, my digital camera is somewhat enigmatic!

Hi Mike,

We're in very similar positions though 13 years apart!!

I'm leaving my current job to become an IT technician / TA at a Primary school and will use Ultraversity to get my self on to the RTP.

Please ask if you have any IT questions. I might be able to help or point you in the right direction.

Regards,

Oli
